The DYSGlair Council is a sub-committee of the School Council.
It is a Teaching and Learning committee that ensures the pupil’s voice is central to developing teaching and learning across all age groups.
Each year, the DYSGlair Council has its own Development Plan linked to one of our Whole School Priorities.
In the past, DYSGlair has presented the Four Purposes of the New Curriculum for Wales to parents, promoted the use of the Welsh language throughout the school, and also created a film to help parents understand the Feedback and Marking strategies at Henry Richard School.

For 2024–2026, DYSGlair’s priority is to investigate and present findings on Teaching for Memory. This will include Learning Walks around the school, meetings with educational specialists, and creating a film to share information about Retrieval Practice and Review Techniques with the wider community.
